As we've continued to grow food for our family and community, we've leaned into perennial vegetables. Who wants to grow the bulk of their vegetables as annuals? It's a lot of work. As we continue to grow and learn, we'll share what we've experienced and have plants available so others can continue to grow with ease too!

Egyptian Walking Onions or Tree Onion
We discovered this onion in 2025 and goodness is it fun! It has a mild onion flavor and grows small bulbs on top of the stalks. Once the bulbs get large enough the stalk will fall over the bulbs grow into the dirt to make new plants. They spread slowly and if you leave them in area for a few years they will fill in nicely. All parts of this plant are edible. This onion is truly a vegetable that keeps on giving. Send us a message to order some bulbs for your garden!
